Product Information

Name:
5-Ethynylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid
Description:

5-Ethynylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid is a carboxylate that inhibits multiple kinases and has been shown to have anti-cancer effects. It is also used as a nitrate analog, which has been shown to have potent inhibition against chronic myeloid leukemia. 5-Ethynylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid inhibits the tyrosine kinase activity of VEGF receptor and PDGF receptor, which are potent oncogenic signaling pathways in cancer cells. The production of reactive oxygen species by these receptors may be responsible for their cytotoxic effect.
