Description:
Europium (III) nitrate hexahydrate is a compound of europium, zirconium oxide, and hydrogen bonding interactions. The light emission from europium (III) nitrate hexahydrate can be activated by ultraviolet light with an energy greater than 1.8 eV. Europium (III) nitrate hexahydrate is chemically stable in n-dimethyl formamide, human serum, and supercritical carbon dioxide. In particle form, it has shown to be more stable than other forms such as powder or flakes. Europium (III) nitrate hexahydrate also has the ability to absorb water vapor and hydroxide solution.
