Description:
Ethyl 1-methyl-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1h-pyrazole-4-carboxylate is a potent hypoglycemic agent that belongs to the group of antidiabetic drugs. It is active in vivo and has been shown to have antidiabetic properties in animal models. This drug also has antioxidant activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation by scavenging free radicals. The antihyperglycemic effect of this compound is thought to be mediated through its ability to inhibit hepatic gluconeogenesis and enhance insulin sensitivity.
