Description:

Ethyl 2-hydroxyphenylacetate is a compound with neuroprotective activity. It has been shown to inhibit the neurotoxicity induced by the alkyl groups of ethylene, as well as the carboxylic group of propionyl and the carboxylic acid group of aspirin. This compound also inhibits the production of salicylaldehyde, which leads to an inhibitory effect on cyclooxygenase enzyme activity.
