Description:

Ethyl pyrrole-2-carboxylate is an organic compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is a synthetic molecule that has been modeled using molecular modelling to aid in its synthesis. This compound can be produced by the Friedel-Crafts acylation of hexamethylphosphoramide with chloroformates, such as chloride or activated esters. Ethyl pyrrole-2-carboxylate has shown minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 1 μg/mL against TNF-α and a MIC value of 0.5 μg/mL against carbonyl group. It also has fluorescent properties, which may be useful for analytical purposes.
