Description

S-Ethyl thiopropionate is a versatile chemical that can be used as a polymerization initiator, cross-linking agent, and an ester compound. It is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. S-Ethyl thiopropionate has been shown to induce insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) in vitro. IGF-I stimulates the growth of cells and plays an important role in the development of the brain, blood vessels, and other tissues. This chemical also has some antifungal activity in vitro against Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
