2-(2-Ethyl-hexyloxy)-phenylmethyl-dimethylsilane is a hydrophobic, volatile liquid that is used as a precursor for pharmaceuticals. 2-(2-Ethyl-hexyloxy)-phenylmethyl-dimethylsilane has been shown to be an inhibitor of inflammatory diseases, including chronic inflammatory diseases, and can be used as a treatment for these conditions. It also has antiarrhythmic properties and can be used in the prevention of cardiac arrhythmias. This compound is used in vaporizers and inhalers to treat bronchial asthma.
