Erythro-N-Boc-L-3-bromophenylalanine epoxide (EBLPE) is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme phenylalanine ammonia lyase. It has been shown to inhibit wild-type and resistant mutants of this enzyme, as well as other enzymes such as tyrosinase and tryptophan synthase. Erythro-N-Boc-L-3-bromophenylalanine epoxide is a potential drug candidate for treatment of melanoma.
