Product Information
- Benzeneacetic acid, 4-(trifluoromethyl)-, ethyl ester
Ethyl 4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl acetate is a cross-coupling reagent that is used in the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of ethyl bromoacetate with a range of boronic acids to form chiral products. The reaction proceeds efficiently and has been shown to be well suited for the synthesis of aminophosphine ligands and boronic acids. Ethyl 4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl acetate can be prepared by the reaction of ethyl bromoacetate with trifluoromethylaniline and sodium hydroxide.
