Description:
1-Eth-1-ynyl-4-propylbenzene is an organic compound that has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. It binds to copper ions in the cell, which causes a conformational change in the protein, leading to inhibition of DNA synthesis and RNA transcription. 1-Eth-1-ynyl-4-propylbenzene also inhibits mesomorphic properties and birefringence. This compound has not been shown to have any effect on terminal alkynes or strain.
