- Exatecan Alideximer
Exatecan is a disulfide bond-containing peptide that has potent antitumor activity. It is an exatecan derivative which was found to have minimal toxicity and high antitumor activity in mice. The drug transporter, which is responsible for the transport of exatecan across the blood-brain barrier, may be inhibited by trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), a chemical that can be used in sample preparation. TFA can also be used as an agent to increase the solubility of peptides in organic solvents. Therefore, it may be possible to use TFA to prepare samples for analysis by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) or nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).
