Product Information
- Benzenamine, 2-ethynyl-
- 2-Ethynylaniline
2-Ethynylaniline is a halogenated aromatic compound that is used in organic synthesis. It can be synthesized by the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of anilines and trifluoromethylated alkenes. The reaction proceeds through the addition of two equivalents of triethyl orthoformate to a solution containing a quinoline derivative, an amine, and an oxidizing agent. This synthesis is an efficient method for the production of 2-ethynylaniline and has been shown to use less solvent than other methods.
