8-Ethoxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid hydrate is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to modulate the solute transport system in the cornea. It is a reconstituted compound that has been shown as an active substance in vitro. 8-Ethoxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid hydrate is an analog of hyaluronic acid and is used as a pharmaceutical dosage form.
