Description:
Ethyl 2-chloro-6-fluorophenylacetate is a colorless liquid that is soluble in most common organic solvents. It is used as an additive to lubricants, paints, and varnishes. This compound has been shown to be an antioxidant and viscosity enhancer in the presence of borate or ferrocene. Ethyl 2-chloro-6-fluorophenylacetate has also been shown to reduce the degradation of polyethylene by sodium sulfonate.
