Product Information

Name:
1-Ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate
Description:

1-Ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate is a salt of the anion and cation with the chemical formula [C(CH)N]PF. The anion has a constant structure, which means that it does not change under different conditions. It has been shown experimentally that 1-ethyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate is a coordination compound that contains anions that coordinate to the cation. The viscosity of this liquid phase is due to the rotation of these molecules around each other. Hydrochloric acid and persulfate are used as catalysts for this reaction. Fluorescence is observed when anion interacts with light at wavelengths below about 300 nm (ultraviolet).
