Product Information
Ethyl 4-Hydroxy-7-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline-3-carboxylate is an isomeric, hydroxylamine and chloride salt of the heterocyclic compound ethyl 7-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline-3-carboxylate. The hydroxylamine moiety of the molecule has shown to be cytotoxic against human colorectal carcinoma cells (HCT 116), with a potency similar to that of 5FU. In addition, hydroxylamine has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cell lines, which may be due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis and protein synthesis.
