N-(Diazotrifluoroethyl)benzoyl-lys(8)-cyclosporin, a novel peptide with a diazotetrafluoroethylene linker, has been synthesized and characterized as a reactive buffer. It has been shown to be activated by the addition of magnesium oxide, which is used in the synthesis of monoclonal antibodies. N-(Diazotrifluoroethyl)benzoyl-lys(8)-cyclosporin can also be used for particle positioning in simulations and zirconium deposition. The solute is competitively soluble in water and buffers.
