Product Information
5'-Methoxylariciresinol is a flavonol glycoside that is found in the genus Pubescens, which contains many active substances. This plant extract has been shown to have tyrosinase activity and can be used for the treatment of lymphocytic leukemia. 5'-Methoxylariciresinol has also been shown to inhibit the production of tyrosine, which is necessary for melanin synthesis and brain cell function. The chromatographic separation of this compound was performed using silica gel as a stationary phase and dimethyl sulfoxide as an eluent. The protocatechuic acid content was determined by nmr spectra. A crystallography study was conducted on the molecular structure of this compound.
