Product Information
(R)-Chroman-4-amine hydrochloride is a novel and potent antagonist of TNF-α. It has been shown to inhibit the production of tumor necrosis factor-alpha in cultured breast cancer cells, which is mediated by its affinity for the TNF receptor. (R)-Chroman-4-amine hydrochloride also exhibits stereoselectivity and selectively inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor-alpha from leukocytes of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This compound has potential as a lead compound for cancer therapy due to its ability to induce apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.
