Description:
5-[[6-[(2-Fluorophenyl)Methoxy]Naphthalen-2-Yl]Methyl]-1,3-Thiazolidine-2,4-Dione is an anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the class of DPPIV inhibitors. It is a competitive inhibitor of DPPIV, which is a prohormone convertase that cleaves the inactive proinsulin molecule into the active insulin molecule. 5-[6-[(2-Fluorophenyl)methoxy]naphthalen-2-ylmethyl]-1,3-thiazolidine-2,4 dione has been shown to inhibit inflammatory bowel disease in rats and mice as well as other autoimmune diseases. This drug also has properties that make it suitable for use in tissue culture experiments.
