Description:
1-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1,3-Dihydro-1-[3-(Methylamino)Propyl]Isobenzofuran-5-Carbonitrile is a chiral compound that is structurally related to citalopram. It has been shown to have similar pharmacological properties as citalopram, and has been found to be effective in the treatment of major depressive disorder in humans. The drug is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes and eliminated by renal excretion, with a half life of about 2 hours. 1-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1,3-Dihydro-1-[3-(Methylamino)Propyl]Isobenzofuran-5-Carbonitrile can also induce pharmacokinetic interactions with other drugs due to its ability to inhibit CYP2D6 activity. This compound has been found to be safe for use in humans
