It has a constant expression pattern across diverse tissues and species. (3R)-5-(2-Fluorophenyl)-3-(1H-Indol-3-Ylmethyl)-1-Methyl-1,3 -Dihydro--2H--1,4--Benzodiazepin--2--One has been shown to activate cardiac tissue in vitro and in vivo. This compound also increases the contractility of ventricular myocytes and antagonizes the effects of beta adrenergic receptor agonists on the heart.
