2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride is a pharmaceutical preparation that is used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. It has been shown to have a number of effects, including the inhibition of receptor binding, transfer reactions, and intermolecular hydrogen bonding. 2-Fluoroethylamine hydrochloride also reacts with anhydrous hydrogen chloride to form 2-fluoroethylamine hydrochloride hydrochloride (2FEHAHCl). This reaction releases hydrogen chloride gas and produces 2FEHAHCl. The chlorination of 2FEHAHCl leads to the formation of 2-fluoroethylamine hydrochloride nitro (2-FEHAHN) and hydrogen chloride nitrate (HCNO). This reaction is reversible. The nitro group on 2-fluoroethylamine hydrochloride nitro can be reduced to an amino group by adding sodium hydroxide solution or ammonia solution.
