Description:

2-fluoro-5-aminotoluene is a fluoroaromatic compound that can be synthesized from 4-fluoroaniline hydrochloride and acetonitrile in anhydrous acetonitrile. The reaction time may take up to two hours. 2-Fluoro-5-aminotoluene has been used for the activity test of Eclipta prostrata.
2-Fluoro-5-aminotoluene is not soluble in water, but is soluble in solvents such as acetonitrile or pentane. It has been shown to have the ability to react with hydrogen fluoride by dehydrating, which will produce a white solid product.
