4-fluorobenzamide is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It reacts with chloride ions to form a solution of 4-fluorobenzoyl chloride, which contains a water molecule and picolinic acid. The X-ray diffraction data shows that it has an effective dose of 1.0mmol/L. The hydrogen bond between the carbonyl group and the amide group found in 4-fluorobenzamide inhibits molecules such as urea and creatinine, which are inhibitor molecules found in human serum.
