4-Fluoro-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one is an index compound that is used pharmacologically to study the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity of drugs. It is a phenylimino derivative with a molecular weight of 217.4. 4-Fluoro-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animals and it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in humans. This drug also has analgesic effects and can be used as a substitute for aspirin or diclofenac for the treatment of pain or inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
