2-(3-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile is an analog that inhibits the c-met receptor. It has been shown to have antiproliferative activity and may be useful in cancer treatment. 2-(3-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile is a quinoline derivative, which has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to their c-met receptors. This compound also has a hydrazone group, which allows it to act as an inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC). The synthesis of this compound was optimized using hybridized synthetic methods.br>
2-(3-fluoro-4-methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile is chemically very similar to acylhydrazones, which are inhibitors of PKC.
