4-(2-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)morpholine is a pegylated antifungal agent. It has been shown to be effective against Candida albicans, Coccidioides immitis, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus. 4-(2-Fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)morpholine is synthesized by reacting ethyl bromoacetate with morpholine in the presence of catalytic reduction. The compound is an organic solvent that is soluble in water and polar organic solvents such as acetone and methanol. The affinity values for 4-(2-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)morpholine with Candida albicans, Coccidioides immitis, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus are 1.5 x 10 M, 1.7 x 10 M, 2.
