Product Information
- Benzaldehyde, 2-fluoro-6-iodo-
- 6-Fluoro-2-iodobenzaldehyde
2-Fluoro-6-iodobenzaldehyde is a potent inhibitor of urokinase, the enzyme responsible for activation of plasminogen to plasmin. It is an activator that can be used with palladium catalyst in a synthetic process to create arylacetylene compounds. 2-Fluoro-6-iodobenzaldehyde was shown to inhibit urokinase and plasminogen activator activity in vitro and in vivo. This compound has been shown to be active against staphylococcal bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin resistant strains, and Clostridium perfringens.
