Description:
3-(2-Furyl)propan-1-amine is a modulator of the histamine H2 receptor. It consists of a heterocyclic ring with an alkylsulfonyl group and an alkenyl group. 3-(2-Furyl)propan-1-amine can be acetylated to form 3-(2-furyl)propanoic acid, which is a known agonist at the histamine H2 receptor. The compound also exists in two hydrated forms, one with pyrolysis at 100oC and one with pyrolysis at 150oC.
