3-Fluorophenyl Acetamide is a pharmaceutical intermediate that is used in the synthesis of fluconazole. It is an amide with a fluorine atom in the para position. 3-Fluorophenyl Acetamide can be prepared by reacting 3-fluorobenzonitrile with acetamide. It has been shown to have cellular activity and can inhibit the growth of rat liver microsomes. The compound also inhibits hydrogen fluoride-induced damage to tissues, and can interact with anilines, chloride, and acceptors.
3-Fluorophenyl Acetamide may form an isomeric pair with 2-fluoroaniline.
