Description:
(S)-1-(5-Fluoropyridin-2-yl)ethanamine is an analog of 2,4,5-tris(1,1-dimethylethyl)-3,6-dioxohexahydropyrimidine and a selective inhibitor of JAK2. (S)-1-(5-Fluoropyridin-2-yl)ethanamine has been shown to inhibit the phosphorylation of JAK2 and other receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). This inhibition prevents the activation of downstream signaling pathways that are involved in tumorigenesis. The discovery of (S)-1-(5-fluoropyridin-2-yl)ethanamine is an example of a novel approach to discovering selective inhibitors for RTKs.
