Product Information

Name:
FL118
Description:

FL-118 is a new drug that inhibits the protein p-glycoprotein (P-gp), which is a transporter in the cell membrane that pumps drugs and other foreign substances out of cells. FL-118 is a glycoside derivative, which means it has a sugar molecule attached to it. This type of drug is not very common because they are difficult to synthesize and have never been used as an anti-cancer drug before. FL-118 binds to P-gp, preventing it from transporting drugs or other substances out of cells, thereby allowing them to act longer in the body. FL-118 has shown promising results in early studies for its ability to inhibit cancer growth and reduce tumor size in mice with metastatic colorectal cancer. It also has good pharmacokinetics properties, meaning it can be given orally without being broken down by the liver first.
