Product Information
- Benzenamine4-(fluoromethyl)
4-Fluoromethylanine is a metabolite of the amino acid phenylalanine and is produced from an enzyme called flavin monooxygenase. It has been shown to be a metabolic disorder inducer and has been used as a probe for monitoring nitro-containing drugs in biological studies. 4-Fluoromethylanine has also been found to be upregulated in cancer cells, suggesting that it may have anti-cancer effects. 4-Fluoromethylanine was determined to be a substrate for uptake by the human erythrocyte membrane (red blood cell). It has also been shown to have Langmuir adsorption properties.
4-Fluoromethylanine can be synthesized from trifluoroacetic acid, sodium carbonate, and n-oxide at high temperature.
