5F-ADB is a synthetic cannabinoid that is a potent agonist at the CB1 receptor, with a K of 1.5 nM. It shares the same metabolic pathway as other cannabinoids and has been shown to cause tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, and mental symptoms in chronic users. Synthetic cannabinoids have been shown to have negative effects on adolescent brain development and can cause hallucinations. 5F-ADB has not been studied extensively in humans; however it has been detected in human urine samples and postmortem tissues.
