This drug has also been shown to have a synergistic effect with combretastatin A4 phosphate by inhibiting tumor cells. Fosfomycin trometamol EP impurity C inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA, which leads to inhibition of protein synthesis. Fosfomycin trometamol EP impurity C also inhibits the growth of fungi by inhibiting their cell wall biosynthesis.
