4-Fluoro-1H-imidazole is a bioinorganic compound that is used to stabilize metal ions in biological systems. 4-Fluoro-1H-imidazole has been shown to form complexes with copper, nickel, and zinc ions. The tautomeric form of this compound is the 1H-imidazole and it can be synthesized from a diazonium salt. 4-Fluoro-1H-imidazole can also be used as an analog for protonated imidazoles, which are found in DNA and RNA synthesis. 4-Fluoro-1H-imidazole has been observed to have a molecular weight of 198.4 g/mol and absorbs at a wavelength of 288 nm. It's NMR spectra show peaks at 7.2 ppm and 8.6 ppm, which correspond to the protons on the NH group of the molecule. Hydrochlor
