Product Information

Name:
(S)FTY720 phosphate
Synonyms:
  • 2-(S)-Amino-2-[2-(4-octylphenyl)ethyl]-1,3-propanediol mono(dihydrogen phosphate) ester(S)-FTY720-P
Description:

(S)FTY720 phosphate is a potent inhibitor of the Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) and has been shown to reduce disease activity in mouse models of inflammatory bowel disease, neural degeneration, and cancer. (S)FTY720 phosphate inhibits JAK2 by binding to its ATP-binding site, thereby preventing it from initiating signaling cascades that lead to the activation of transcription factors. This inhibition prevents the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues in the activation loop of cytokines such as IL-6 and IL-10, which are implicated in various autoimmune diseases. The inhibition also causes a decrease in protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B activity.
