9-Fmoc-aminoxanthen-3-yloxy polystyrene resin is a diagnostic agent that can be used to detect the presence of epidermal growth factor and apoptosis protein in cancer cells. It is a potent antagonist for the fatty acid binding site on human epidermal growth factor and has been shown to inhibit the production of cyclic peptides with serine protease activity. This product is suitable for use in vitro assays, including titration calorimetry, as well as diagnosis of infectious diseases and cancer. 9-Fmoc-aminoxanthen-3-yloxy polystyrene resin has also been shown to have some antiviral activity against HIV, herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), and influenza A virus.
