- 5-fluoro-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde
5-Fluoroindole-3-carboxaldehyde is a cell-based assay for the determination of the phytoalexin level in plants. It is also used as an analog to study the effect of nitroethane, chloride, aluminium and acid on plant cells. 5-Fluoroindole-3-carboxaldehyde has been shown to degranulate cells in a dose-dependent manner at a cellular level. This compound has been shown to enhance cancer cell proliferation by inhibiting apoptosis and degranulation. 5-Fluoroindole-3-carboxaldehyde can be used as an organic solvent in the lab because it does not react with other compounds or degrade into toxic substances.
