Description

6-Fluoro-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid is an anticancer drug that inhibits tumor growth by inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells. 6-Fluoro-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid was shown to induce apoptosis in prostate adenocarcinoma, colorectal carcinoma, and mononuclear cells. It has been shown to have potent anticancer activity against breast cancer (MCF-7) and colon cancer (HCT116) cell lines. 6-Fluoro-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid is a potent anticancer agent that acts by inhibiting DNA synthesis and arresting the cell cycle at the G1 phase.
