Product Information

Name:
4-Fluorophenylacetyl chloride
Description:

4-Fluorophenylacetyl chloride is a potent inhibitor of the mineralocorticoid receptor and progesterone receptor, which are proteins expressed in the cell membrane. 4-Fluorophenylacetyl chloride has been shown to be effective against cancer cells in vivo, as well as inhibiting tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) production induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in vitro. This compound is a synthetic amide that binds to the steroid hormone receptors, preventing them from binding to their natural ligand. In addition, it inhibits the transcription of TNF-α genes by blocking the formation of DNA complexes with the protein nuclear factor κB (NFκB).
