Product Information

Name:
Fmoc-L-valine 4-alkoxybenzyl alcohol resin
Synonyms:
  • Fmoc-L-Val-Wang resin
Description:

Fmoc-L-Valine 4-Alkoxybenzyl alcohol resin is a chemoselective reagent for the synthesis of fatty acid monoclonal antibodies. The fatty acids are attached to the polymer via an ether linkage. The resin has been used to prepare antibodies that bind collagen, and is also used as a biochemical tool in biophysical studies. Fmoc-L-Valine 4-Alkoxybenzyl alcohol resin can be synthesized by coupling the desired fatty acid with chloroformate ester of hydroxybenzyl alcohol, followed by deprotection with trifluoroacetic acid. The resulting product has been shown to have a high level of specificity for its intended target, making it ideal for use in synthetic antibody production.
