Description

Fmoc-gamma-aminobutyric acid is a therapeutic that has been shown to have high-level nuclear localization. It is a dendrimer with a core of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) that is covalently attached to the surface of the dendrimer. Fmoc-gamma-aminobutyric acid has been shown to be minimally toxic and, when used in eye drops, it has been shown to provide relief from retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration. This drug also binds to the epithelium and can be used as a vector for gene delivery.
