Fmoc-D-Valine 4-AOB is a bioinspired, fluorescent, and biodegradable nanoparticle. It is synthesized from a Fmoc protected amino acid. The morphology of this nanoparticle can be tuned by changing the concentration of glycol and the molecular weight of the conjugate. Fmoc-D-Valine 4-AOB can be used for fluorescence microscopy, as it emits light at 580 nm when excited with a wavelength of 350 nm. This nanoparticle has a low molecular weight, which allows it to be easily conjugated with other molecules. The size of this molecule ranges from 10 to 200 nm in diameter depending on the conditions used during synthesis.
