Product Information

Name:
Fmoc-O-2-chlorotrityl-L-tyrosine
Synonyms:
  • Fmoc-L-Tyr(2-ClTrt)-OH
Description:

Fmoc-O-2-chlorotrityl-L-tyrosine is a biologically active molecule that can be used as a luminescent probe. It has been shown to have carboxypeptidase activity and can be used for the detection of luciferin, an activator of the enzyme luciferase. Fmoc-O-2-chlorotrityl-L-tyrosine is also a substrate for both carboxypeptidases and luciferases, which are enzymes that catalyze reactions in biological systems. This molecule has been shown to have enzymatic activities that are dependent on the concentration of substrates present, such as the production of light at low concentrations and the production of heat at high concentrations.
