Description:

N-alpha-Fmoc-L-2,4-diaminobutyric acid is a synthetic amino acid that can be used in organic synthesis. It is prepared by activating the carboxyl group of an acetonitrile derivative of 2,4 diaminobutyric acid with palladium and then coupling it with an ethyl acetate derivative of Fmoc protected glycine. The reaction is carried out in a large scale in ethyl acetate and acetone.
