Description:
N-alpha-Fmoc-Ndelta-Z-L-ornithine is a synthetic analogue of the amino acid ornithine. It has shown to have agonistic activity on the oxytocin receptor, and it can be used as a pressor agent. N-alpha-Fmoc-Ndelta-Z-L-ornithine has been shown to be an effective uterotonic in vivo. This compound can be used as an analog for other compounds that have agonistic activity on the oxytocin receptor, such as benzyloxycarbonyl ornithine.
