Fmoc-L-isoleucine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is a proteolytic substrate that is used to synthesize aminoacyl synthons in an efficient method. This substrate reacts with the azide group of the carrier to produce a blue chromogenic product. Fmoc-L-isoleucine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester can be used as a synthon for the synthesis of peptides, proteins, and other biologically active molecules. It can also be used to produce selenides from organic acids or alcohols by reacting with sodium hydrogen selenide in a stepwise manner. Fmoc-L-isoleucine N-hydroxysuccinimide ester is synthesized by the chemistries of activated methylene carbene and nucleophilic substitution.
