Description:
Fluorescein 6-isothiocyanate is an aminofluorescein that is used to detect the presence of monolayer and crosslinked DNA in cells. It has been shown to be a sensitive probe for the detection of chronic myeloid leukemia cells in animal experiments. Fluorescein 6-isothiocyanate binds with aldehyde groups, such as those present on imatinib, and can be used to measure its interaction with cellular proteins.
